Twin Lakes is a city in Freeborn County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 151 at the 2010 census.[1]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2), of which, 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (7.84%) is water.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 168 people, 80 households, and 44 families residing in the city. The population density was 350.4 people per square mile (135.1/km²). There were 83 housing units at an average density of 173.1 per square mile (66.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 99.40% White and 0.60% Native American. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.79% of the population.
There were 80 households out of which 22.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.3% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 45.0% were non-families. 38.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.10 and the average family size was 2.77.
In the city the population was spread out with 19.0% under the age of 18, 11.3% from 18 to 24, 24.4% from 25 to 44, 29.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 97.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 109.2 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $31,250, and the median income for a family was $34,688. Males had a median income of $30,625 versus $22,321 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,258.
